I'm trying to create a work time sheet. I have 3 columns
Start time (displays the time started - in hh:mm) Finish
Time (displays the time finished - in hh:mm) & Duration
(displays the amount of time taken to perform the task).
Scrolling down the page I then have a cell that displays
the Total Time (adds all the times from the above and
displays the grand total). My problem is that I want to
create a cell that equates to total time @ £20 per hour
(I.e. Total time = 4hrs. @£20/hr = £80.00)

Multiply your time value by 24 then by the rate. E.g,

=SUM(C1:C10)*24*20

Daran,


Excel stores times as a fraction of a day as in 12:00 = .5, 6:00 = .25
etc.so if you multiply times by 24 then you get decimal hours.
With you total time in C20 and the cost per hour in D1 then:

=C20*24*D1 and format the 'Pay' cell as General will give you the right
answer.
