Hi,

I wish to type in the cells 0100, 0200, 0300 etc but cannot see the format
type that retains these numbers as four digits (allows me to go to 2400) .

Which format is it - I have tried several and it drops the first zero(0) off.

Cheers

You need to custom format the col as: hh:mm
then enter the times with a colon, eg: 00:00

YOur a good lad Max, I appreciate the support.

I did try that format but wanted to be lazy and had hoped I would not have
to add in the colon:)).

Cheers

well, laziness has its price ..

Go to Chip's page at:
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/DateTimeEntry.htm

1. Install Chip's 2nd sub on the page
2. Custom format the input range (A1:A10) as: hh:mm
and you' ready to roll ..

... and if you feel like it, press the "Yes" button below
