1 Consultant -- 2 different task

We are using Project Server 2007 and Project Profession 2007.

I have assigned Generic Enterprise Resource to 2 tasks (one for SDE and one
for Business Objects); but when I am ready to assign the named Resource from
'Build team from Enterprise..' it needs to be the same Consultant.

How do I assign that 'named' resource to split tasks?

If I assign the named resource to SDE task from Build team, his name gray's
out for the Business Objects, and I cannot choose the same consultant for
both the tasks.

Can you please send me step by step guide to get this accomplished? Thank you.

The Build Team from Enterprise dialogue box allows you to add people to the
project team - if you already have people in your team assigned to tasks
they will show with their total work in the right hand pane of the BTfE
dialogue box. You can add, match and replace resources - by the sound of it
you have probably replaced a Generic Resource with a real person in one
instance but still have another Generic resource with work which you would
like the previously recruited resource to assume responsibility for and as
they are already in your team they are "Greyed Out" in the list on the left
hand side.

You can replace one resource with another in your schedule using the Assign
Resource dialogue box (Alt+F10 keyboard shortcut) when viewing the schedule
in the Gantt chart view.

You cannot handle this situation using the Build Team dialog. Instead,
select the tasks individually and use the Replace function in the Assign
Resources dialog. Hope this helps.
