1) Grouping 2) Word Art

I am working in Word 2002.

1) I apologize for not using the correct Microsoft terms, but is there any
way to select graphic items with the square black "handles" and graphic items
with the clear round "handles" at the same time so as to group them?

2) Sometimes I want to make words go in a complete circle: sometimes I want
them to continue consecutively all the way around the circle, and sometimes I
want to put a few words at the top of the circle with a few more at the
bottom while keeping them right side up. Just recently, I also wanted to put
another word right in the middle - in a different font and size. Is there a
way to do all of this without going outside of Word to a graphics program?

You can do all the WordArt you are inquiring about in Word. In some situations you
will have to layer your WordArt to get the effect you want. Experiment...

On grouping. To clear the black square handles you have to:
Format picture/Layout. Pick whatever layout you want(I usually choose in
front of text). The square handles will be cleared and you can move the
image around and group.

Word Art - Pull up the word art toolbar and work with all the options.

Good luck -
