1 subrpt has no data, total has error

Working in A02 on XP. I have a number of subreports on a
section of my report that needs to show the total. BUT,
when there is no data for one subreport, my grand total
field below will show 'ERROR'.

=[BusinessReptSubDistrib5Yr].[Report]![GT5Yr]+
[BusinessReptSubDistribDistr].[Report]![GTDistr]+
[BusinessReptSubDistribMVAPd].[Report]![GTMVAPd]+
[BusRptDistribDetailVarPd].[Report]![GTVarBal]+
[BusRptDistribDetailPlanTermPd].[Report]![GTPlanTermPd]

I know it's a simple thing, can someone put me on the
right track? I need the subreports to show zeros if there
is no data and the grand total to work without errors.
