1 year to fix MAPI to correct Outlook error

W

For more than a year I have been struggling to get Outlook to work again at
full functionality after installing another E-mail access program (Groupwise)
outlook would load but wouldn't print or save or export

Lots of error messages involving MAPI files, etc.
I bought Outlook 2003 and had even more errors - wouldn't even load

I finally found the answer:
set Outlook as the default calender and mail program

below is "How to do it"

Thanks to the MicroSoft help forum (it took many hours of reading and trying
to understand until I found the enclosed answer/information sheet - I only
needed steps 2,3 and part of 4

Regards
