100% complete tasks still showing in PWA tasks page

Hi !

Although I mark the tasks as 100% complete from within Project
Professional and then republish the project, my team members are still
seeing the tasks in their tasks page in PWA.

Is this Microsoft Project's normal behavior, or am I missing something
?

Thanks for any advice.

When your team members look at their timesheet page in PWA, do they see the
tasks marked as 100% complete? If not, then you are not republishing your
project correctly. Whenever you manually enter actuals in the Microsoft
Project plan, you must republish the project by completing the following
steps:

1. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
2. Select the "Overwrite actual work entered by resources" option
3. Click OK

The above process will "push" the actuals from the Microsoft Project plan to
each user's timesheet in PWA.

If your team members are seeing completed tasks on their PWA timesheets,
there are two things they can do to not see those completed tasks:

1. From the PWA timesheet, click the "Current Tasks" link in the sidepane
2. Click the completed task and then click the Hide button

Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

Thank you for your response !

Yes, they are seeing the tasks as 100% complete, but the tasks still
stay and do not disappear from their task list. And in fact, they are
able to log hours against these 100% completed tasks ! It would be
great if the tasks just disappeared from thier lists and they did not
have a way of logging more hours agianst a task that is already
completed.

Thanks,
Laxmi.

Since completed tasks do not disappear automatically from each team member's
timesheet, teach them to use one of the methods I specified in my last post.
Hope this helps.
