100% Complete Tick disappears after saving a Baseline

When you save a Baseline for a project, many (possibly all) tasks that are
100% complete and have a blue tick in the indicator, lose their blue tick in
Save & Re-publish process.

If then use [Tools | Tracking | Synch to Protected Actuals] I can get the
Blue Tick back.

I am nervous about Synch'ing to Protected Actuals after every Baseline save.
My nervousness around Synch'ing is that I have found it can cause problems
and lose date.

a) Does anyone know if this is a known/fixed fault
b) Does anyone know another way to get the Blue Tick back without the
drastic step of running a Synch Actuals.
