100% cpu activity when opening large Word documents

Hi !

I run Word 97 SR-2 on Windows XP SP 1.

When opening a large 3,6 Mb Word document my cpu activity rises up to 100%.

How can I reduce the cpu activity?

It would indicate that there is a problem with background Spelling and/or
Grammar checker, or the document is corrupt. Test the former by turning off
the options under Tools, Options, Spelling and Grammar tab.
