10mm border around full printed page

I have a big rectangle which is printed on every page. It looks great
but I want to (a) remove it and (b) understand how it got there.

Any pointers appreciated.

Sounds like you have a border on.
First go to Edit -->Select all
Then Format-->Bordersand Shading -->Page Border
Select "none"
Should be gone
