12.2.0 Update

Processor: Intel

Sorry to ask this -- I know you've answered many similar -- but I haven't found the solution so far...

I have clean install of 10.6
I installed Office2008 demo (until my IT guy was available)
The first Office demo (file name started with X15...) failed to update (the updates killed the app)
The second demo I installed (a few days later - demo file started with X16..) worked and updated perfectly...
Then my IT guy (Windows admin) gave me the original office2008 installer...
I uninstalled the demo (and all pref's, and user docs) and reinstalled.

The installation works -- 12.1.0

But, if I try to update to 12.2.0 the update fails to complete and I can't start any office apps - one bounce in the doc, and then nada.
I can re-install (over-write) with the office installer and everything is back to 12.1.0 and works.

I would live with this -- but I want EWS.

Help! (and thanks in advance)

You have to completely remove all files the trial installed. A user posted
this today, that you can try.

I suspect you are missing the full link as it might have chopped off in
your news reader. I just tested the link (which has to include up to
and including "...pdf") and it works.

Thanks Rob and Diane.

The latest link from Diane (which consists of the last 4 letters "ssue") works.

Have a great weekend :)
