16 hour day, task uses a 8 hour day

hi

my prblem is: I have a 16 hour day to perform my varoius
task, each depending on the prevoius task. however when
looking at the tasks, they are all alocated to an 8 hour
day and not the 16 hours as captured in calender, can
anyone assist so that my task are spread out over a 16
hour peroid for each day
