Running OS 10.4.11 and Entourage 2004, running 11.5.1. A user in our
office gets the error, Sys/Perm Could not read message line; Error
-16999. I tried the solution as noted below which was on the error
code page and it didn't work.
Solution: Try using account with secure password selected and not
selected.
In the Account window, select "Click here for advanced receiving
options button". Toggle "Always use secure password" Try to receive
mail again.
I verified the database and it said it was fine, but I rebuilt it
anyway.
Another solution I found was to enable "make the allow online access
(shows account in folder list) which didn't help either.
Any other suggestions?
