I am trying to total a column and I get the error 1E+05. I have a spread
sheet with 36 rows and 38 columns and I want to total 12 rows. Some columns
work and some don't. I need help. Del

1E+05 is not an error, it is a number between 95000 and 149999.999999999,
displayed in scientific notation (E+05 is standard computer shorthand for
"times 10^5") showing only one significant figure. Format the cell to show
the number in whatever format you want to see (you may have to widen the
column to allow the formatted number to display).
