2-D connector point Snap induces rotate...

I have two identical rectangles with Inward-Outward featured connector
points.

I want to stack one on top of the other with Snap (as in, populating a
rackmount)

When I drag the Outward-set one near the other, the Snap feature makes
it rotate (to mate with conn. point), not allowing me to superimpose it
onto the other.

I am obviously overlooking a Snap setting, but which one?
I did experiment without luck so far.

Anything else?

Select 1st shape, then Window>Show ShapeSheet. In Connection points section
there is cell DirY/B. Look at this cell value. And see in 2nd shape. They
must be the same but one of them with minus.

I did check the<DirY/B> values as you described, and they are as you
say already (read 1 in. and -1 in.). Problem did not go away...

More options on connection points located elsewhere, I need to look at?
(BTW what does DirY/B translates into..?)
