2 machines cannot access DB

Michael McGinley

Here is the scenario:

MS Access DB (2000) was moved to a new server within a new domain.

2 client machines that are not domain members had permissions set on the
domain server and once could access the Access DB when others had the
database open.

A compact and repair was run on the database. All domain member can still
access the database when other user are accessing it. The 2 non-domain
members can now only access the database when no one else is accessing the
database.

WHen someone else is in the DB, the non-domain machines try to open the db
and it just sits there, no error messages, it just does not open?

Any hints? This is a major issue and I really do appreciate your feed back!

Sounds like it could be a permissions-thing. Can you/your network guru
confirm that all users have full permissions to the back-end db?

Good luck
