2 monitors

I am running 2 monitors from my graphics card.
Is it possible to display one worksheet on one monitor and another worksheet
on the the second monitor?
I have tried drag and drop to no avail.
Thank you.

Thanks Mr Tom!
It would be helpful to me if you could explain using different workbooks.
Many thanks for taking the time and trouble.

I've used 2 screens for years - with Excel it's an absolute boon.

I'm sure you've worked out how to do this with different workbooks - if not
reply, and I'll take you through that.

To answer your question - no, I don't think it can be done for different
sheets inside the same workbook. There is however a workaround - simply copy
one of the sheets into a new workbook (keeping all links etc) and span the
workbooks rather than the sheets. Again, if that needs further explanation,
let me know.

Sorry I've not got a more appealing answer!

Cool.

2 methods (I prefer the second)

1 Open 2 instances of Excel, each maximised in a different screen. This
is less flexible as these instances will not "see" each other.
2 Open only one instance and span it across both screens (likely to need
to "restore" rather than "maximise" and then manually resize (strech) it to
size). Then, open a couple of workbooks, click the "Window" menu and tile
them. You can then resize and move the different windows around.

I've just noticed something.

You actually can have different windows of one workbook. (I.e. you can do
exactly what you want to do). To do this:
Open your workbook.
Span excel across both screens
Click Window, New Window
Click Window, Arrange, Tile
You now have two windows of the same sheet which you can browse and resize
as much as you want.

Hopefully this'll do the job. Reply if any difficulties.

To display 2 sheets in the same work book click on window>new window and then
window>arrange>tiled. Not sure how you put this onto your second monitor as
I have never used 2 monitors.

Hope that is of help
