2 page printing bug

I have discovered a bug in Outlook 2003 printing of appointment info. This
bug is especially prevalent when printing Weekly or Monthly views. This bug
was introduced with 2003 and was not present in Outlook 2000.

I print appointment information to keep in my organizer. I do not use a
PDA, partly because they are expensive, but mostly because I have broken
three so far. Outlook provides an attractive solution to more expensive
alternatives.

I find the Weekly view most useful. To get the most out of this view, I
like to print it across two pages, so in the “Page Setup†for this view,
under Options/Layout, I have selected 2 pages/week. Days are arranged “Top
to bottom†and no note area is included. To save money, I print this view on
legal size paper which, when cut into fourths, fits neatly into my organizer.
Under the “Paper†tab, I have set the Paper/Type to “Legal†and the
Page/Size to “1/4 sheet bookletâ€. Depending on whether I want the first page
to be on the left hand or the right hand of my organizer, I increase the
right or left margin size respectively, to accommodate punch holes. When
printing, I print on both sides of the page. This is where the problem
occurs. The first half of the week is printed on the front of the page and
the last half of the week printed on the back. This means that, in order to
see the remainder of the week, I must turn the page. It should print so that
the pages face each other – that is, the beginning of the week should be on
the left hand page, and the end of the week should be on the right hand page.

The same thing occurs with the month view – the first half of the month is
printed on the front of the page, and the last half of the month is printed
on the back. With the daily view, if I elect to print notes or tasks, the
notes or tasks appear on the back of the page. This in itself would not be a
problem, except that the notes or task page has the date written across the
top. To get around this problem, I print the daily view on one side of the
page. This allows me to use the back of the following day for notes, etc.

Thanks for taking a look at this.
