Hello
"Pages per sheet: 2 pages" is chosen in the "Print" window, but Word 2002
prints only one page on a sheet.

The document has only one page. I want 2 copies of it be printed on a single
sheet.

Thanks.
But two A5 pages are sided by short side on a A4 sheet. The 2 A5 pages
occupy only half of the A4 sheet. How to side the two A5 pages by long side?

Changing orientation of the A4 sheet from Portrait to Landscape in the
printer
properties just makes the A5 page even smaller.

The purpose of "Two pages per sheet", reducing the original page size would
be needed for printing two copies of A5 on an A4 for reducing two copies of
A5 size to A4 print area (not A4 size).

Just leave your document as portrait and do as Suzanne said, select 2 pages
form the Pages per sheet control in the Zoom section of the File Print
dialog and in the Page range section enter 1,1 in the Pages control. The
document will then be printed twice in A5 size on the A4 sheet.

Please respond to the newsgroups for the benefit of others who may be
interested.

Hope this helps

If I'll past A5 information to an A4 portrait page twice, I will not have to
reduce the font sizes. The disadvantage of pasting twice is that I will have
to update the information twice, in two areas.

Okay, I see what you're getting at now. I printed two pages of a Landscape
document using "Two pages per sheet" and got, in effect, the top two of what
would be four pages per sheet. This is a bug IMO. If Word has sense enough
to turn the paper to Landscape to print two portrait pages, it ought to have
sense enough to turn the paper to Portrait to print two landscape pages.

I can't immediately find any way around this, but to facilitate the solution
that Doug has given you farther down in the thread, you might want to use
the "Two pages per sheet" option in Page Setup (not the Print dialog). You
have to choose Portrait orientation, and then Word will give you two
landscape pages per portrait sheet. You don't have to do anything special
when you print, as the page is already set up correctly.

Thanks Suzanne!
I use the "Two pages per sheet" option in Page Setup now.
