2-panel brochure

I would like to create a 2-panel brochure and am unsure how to set it up. Do
I use the 4-panel brochure option so the brochure prints twice on an 8x14
page?

I want to do this in whatever way is most friendly for print shops.

Thanks!

Setup as a booklet. This will produce a two-panel brochure.

Are you using legal stock? Do you want your brochure to measure 8.5 x 7?

Yes, I would like the unfolded brochure to measure 8.5 x 7. So do I set up a
booklet for 8.5 x 14? And then how will my panels lay out on the page? I'm a
bit confused by the "insert page" option in the booklet format.

Thanks so much for your help.

Always design things at the intended size. So if you want it to be a 3.5 x
8.5, 4 page brochure then design it at that and let the printer arrange the
pages. Or, design it at 7 x 8.5 as a two page document. But don't ever
impose a document for a printer. It drives them crazy. They have processes
in place to deal with imposition that can do it faster and more accurately.
If you are going to print this at home, that is an entirely different
subject.

Setup your printer for legal (8.5" X 14") first.

In page setup, select booklet, type 7" width, 8.5 Height. Publisher will say
prints two pages per sheet of paper.
