2 personal folders won't close?

Outlook 2003 again - seperate PC. 3 Personal Folders listed. 1st in list
is fine and only one required. When I try to close the 2 extras, I get this
error message "Operation Failed Object Could Not Be Found". Could not find
the problem in MS Knowledge Base when I searched.

That's a sign of a broken mail profile. The easiest fix is to create a new
one that references only the PST you want to see.

Much more easier is using [1] to get rid of the ghost folders ;-)

While I'm not averse to making registry changes, I tend to like to start clean
using methods that don't directly involve the registry. I always try to avoid
this type of thing: "OLfix is using undocumented registry keys, usually it
works, in some cases it may damage your Outlook profile." I'm not disparaging
the tool, I just prefer using methods that don't entail having to try
something else if the first method doesn't work. I think a new profile is
more likely to fix the problem the first time without needing a fall-back.
It's true that a new profile needs to have PSTs readded, accounts redefined,
and so on, but I don't find that particularly onerous.
