I checked myself on the clients computer and upon opening Word, I get a
"cannot load macro" error (click "ok").
With the dictionnary problem, the dictionnary resets itself to another
custom dictionnary.

I apoligize for the mixup,
I was finally able to get access to a client machine.
When loading up Word, i get the "Cannot load macro" error (Click "oK").
and the problem is that the users see in each corner of the new document a
half square (ex: _| ), it cannot be removed by headers/footers nor with
loading normal.dot ...

thanks for the assistance

Hello,

I looked at the text boundaries and language settings, they are all ok.
I still get the half square margins on each corner of a new document.
I looked around in page setup and cannot find a thing to remove it.. :(

Thanks again for the help!

The 'crop marks' have nothing to do with Page Setup. Did you not read
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839371 as Suzanne suggested?

Strange. I have not seen any cause of the crop marks other than the Asian
Language settings.

Hi David,

You didn't mention the version of Word you're using.
If you check in Format=>Fonts and see a 'Complex Scripts'
box or a 'complex scripts' tab in Tools=>Options
the crop marks will appear.

The problems you're having with running macros and the
speller can indicate interference from an add-in or
a corrupted Office installation.

Do you get the same problems and errors if you hold down
the control key while starting Word?
