2 questions about OWC Spreadsheet

Hi!

1. Is it possible to install OWC10 on a client running Office 2000
Professional and obtain full functionality?

2. Currently I use the OWC9 Spreadsheet component both on the server and on
the clients on our companies intranet. I use the HTMLData-property to
transfer data between the server and the clients.

I've heard that OWC9 poorly supports multiple instances (on the server). Can
I use OWC10 on the server and OWC9 on the client machines (as long as I use
properties and methods that are in common to both OWC9 and OWC10)?

Yes it is possible, however it requires a license package file
In the absence of the lpk, it will not work.

Why? There is an easier way to do this.

The only thing you will be able to use is the HTMLDATA, CSVDATA and XMLDATA
properties to move data to and from. The server cannot communicate with the
client piece ordinarily.

Hi Alvin!

As you might have guessed I'm new using OWC and I'm realy stuck.
Here is what I'm trying to do:

The OWC on our companies webserver accesses a database and generates a
report.
The report is then transfered to the clients OWC using HTMLData.

1. You say that there is an easier way to do this - how? Can you give me
some example code?
2. Is there a way to only use OWC on the client and still somehow generate a
report from the recordsets on the server?
