2 version of the Access in 1 PC

In the PC where they are installed two version of Access, as an
example Access the 2000 and RunTime di Access 97, understood that
every time that a version of Access is opened this assigned the
extensions mdb and mde. I would want that one of the two versions,
that is run the Time, did not make it and that the extensions mdb and
mde always are assigned to Access 2000. Task that must be modified
some key of registry in order to prevent to the Run Time to modify the
allocation of the extension, which?
Or what can I do?

Thanks BB

You need to add explicit path and file names of the appropriate
versions of access to all the shortcuts. For example "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office 97\Office\msaccess.exe". Including the quotes
if you have any spaces in the path name which is very likely.

There are some programs out there which will automatically start the
appropriate version of Access.

One of those is ACCVER - Allows you to work with multiple versions of
MS Access databases. Detects the version of Access used to create your
MDB, MDE or MDA files and either reports the version number or starts
the appropriate version of MS Access.
