One of my customers has a large variety of MPP files that were created with
Project Pro 2000. When attempting to open these files with Project Pro 2007
the application eventually bombs out while in the "calculating" stage of the
file open process. The commonality shared by these files is the fact that
they belong to a shared resource pool and are embedded into a master schedule
at this customer's site.
I've had the customer remove the shared resource pool link and remove the
schedule from the master schedule.
Has anyone had a similar experience trying to open older formatted MPP files
in 2007? If so, does anyone have troubleshooting steps?
thanks,
Jason
