2000 to 2003 - expected problems

Jeff Hop

Hi,

I have been using FrontPage 2000 for sometime until tragedy befell my
computer; however, but I am about to receive a new pc and FrontPage 2003.

#1 Are there any expected problems if I import my web sites off of the
college server to my new pc? (I plan to cut'n paste all files and folders in
my web site opened into FP03 to a FP created folder on my home pc also
opened in FP03.)

#2 Also should I expect any (college) server issues with respect to FP
extensions?

Thanks,
Jeff

You need to publish, not import, the web site from your host server to your
local server.

You certainly SHOULD expect problems if you "import" your webs, or do
anything like the process you described. You need to PUBLISH them to your
PC, NOT import.

extensions?

That all depends on your (college) server, and/or whether you plan to use
any FrontPage components in your web.

Thanks to both of you - especially about back-publishing

I appreciate that.
