2001 install

I started using Mac Office with version 2008 and can't see paying an
extra one hundred dollars for two fewer licenses to have Outlook rather
than Entourage which presents something I want to clarify before I
spend money on the update. While I'd like some of the goodies with
2001, I can live without them if it's a massive headache to retain and
use Entourage from my 2008. I've not been able to find anything about
removing parts of 2008 so I'm guessing it's an all or nothing
install/remove so I'm wondering if A; is that correct and if so B: if I
buy the 2011 and start an installation, is there an option to install
over 2008 so--hopefully--Word, Excel and Powerpoint will override those
same programs in 2008 BUT leave Entourage alone?

Do any of you have any idea on this or can you point me to a possible answer?

Thanks,
Tim

Entourage is alive and well in 2008, but MS has killed it for 2011 and
any future versions for the home and student edition.

If you want MS's current mail program for Mac, you'll need to plop down
the bigger bux for your one (and only -they are even more restrictive
about licenses now) copy of 2011 Office Business Edition.

I found Outlook 2011 bloated and missing features that I used regularly
in Entourage, so I quickly dumped it.

The good news is that you can keep Entourage 2008 and use 2011 for
everything else.

MS is killing it's mail program for the average Mac user in favor of
those business users that need to integrate with Windows server features
(and even those are apparently tenuous).
