2002 vs 2003

Access 2002 on a notebook - 2003 on a desktop. These two machine will have
one small .mdb file moved between them (about 2mb .mdb file) with rare but
occasional updates to table data. Might this lead to eventual heartbreak?...
should I upgrade the laptop's 2002 to 2003 or are they compatable?

Both of those versions still use the Access 2000 file format by default. As
long as you don't mess with that I would expect no problems.

And, if you do not use the Access 2000 file format, the Access 2002 and 2003
file formats are compatible. So, if you stick to functionality that exists
in Access 2002, you should have no problem there (and there was little
Access-specific change from 2002 - 2003).

I frequently move databases between Access 2002 and Access 2003 without any
problem. But don't come back mad at me if you do have a problem...
everybody's environment is different and, as the EPA says, "Your mileage may
vary."
