2003-2007 updated now e-mail client spell checks in French only

Upgraded from 2003 to 2007. Spellchecker in Word works well, however when I
try to send an e-mail in Outlook Express I can only check my English messages
in French. Only option available in tools. I have to turn it off to use, is
there a fix here? Thank you.

usual workaround is to install a third-party spellchecking
utility (there are many, some free, some not, just ask Google).
