2003 Office Pro: Not Genuine

M

Mark

I wiped my hard drive and installed Vista x64 Ultimate, then installed Office
2003 Pro, which I had running as genuine on Vista x86 and previously on XP
Pro.

I loaded and installed all updates successfully.

When I run the utility to verify Office is genuine, it says: No.
Product Key is blocked by Microsoft.

When I call them, they won't give me the time of day because my product is
"Not Genuine." (I guess moving to x64 made it a pirated copy.)

I have the holographic disc with all the markings, the Certificate of
Authenticity and the Product Key. It's a few years old, retail from a
different state. So, I can't just run back to the original vendor. How do I
fix this?

I'd suggest calling MS again, and have all your details of your cd to hand
whilst doing so.
If it truely was a valid copy, changing your o/s doesnt invalidate it
