2003 SP2 MS Project Excel Paste

I have been pasting from Excel to Microsoft Project while in task view.
This has allowed me to derive some resource loaded tasks with precis
costs, etc. I have had success pasting in the columns of Task Name
Cost, Start, and Resource Names columns. Now I need to include th
predecessor column and dictate a specific predecessor and lag time.
Once I include the predecessor column in the copy from excel and attemp
to paste into project, nothing at all pastes. I am currently stuck wit
SP2 with a patch that has been known to have issues with other impor
and export manuevers. Can anyone replicate this problem on a servic
Pack 3 of Project 2003

Yes, pasting a single MS Project cell (the predecessor cell) works. I
addition, pasting a single line which includes Task Name, Cost, Start
Resource Names, and Predecessors also works. But, doing multiple line
still doesn't work.

Additional news on this issue is that I now have SP3. All the answer
above are with SP3 installed

That suggests one or more predecessor cells hold invalid data. For example a
predecessor with an ID of a Task that does not exist.

Can you isolate the predecessors causing the problem?
