2003 template for 2007?

Please are there any limitations in using MS Word 2003 template for MS
Word 2007?

I have created a normal.dot in Word 2003 for our client.
Then the client switched to MS Word 2007 and he is complaining now
about missing and redundant styles.
The template is locked so that users are able to choose styles from
template only. But in MS Word 2007 they can see and use more styles
and on the other hand they can not see some of styles (e.g. tables).
