2003 to 2007 Customized fields

In2003
When copying a custom field containing values in the value list to your
Global.mpt, the copied field will carry across the values.
In 2007
When copying a custom field containing values in the lookup table to your
Global.mpt, the copied field loses the values.
Is there a fix for this in 2007? So it behaves as it did in 2003. I know
2007 allows importing from various formats, but not accomodating values for
fields created in 2003 is a major inconvenience.

Hello Pratta,

I did some quick testing in Project 2007 with SP-1 and see the
behavior you describe. I am able to *import* a field with a custom
value list (lookup in earlier versions) from project file to project
file, but going through the Global.MPT file is not working.

The only other work around I can suggest is to make a template with
the customized fields and value lists and use that template to create
new projects.
