2003 trail installation problem

I am trying to install the trial version of project standard 2003. I am
using windows and office XP on a new dell machine. I get the error message -
Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file
location exists and is writable.
I have saved the executable to my Hard drive and am installing from there.
Please tell me how I can do this installation.
