2003 Viewer

I have PPT 2000 on a Windows ME. When I downloaded the
viewer I received two messageS: 1) The MSIEXEC.EXE File
is linked to missing export MSI.DLL:222 and 2)error
creating process <msiexec.exe/i ppviewer.mis/qbt>. Reason:
A device attached to the system is not functioning.

What do these mean and how can I correct the problem. I
would like to create powerpoints that will run on a non-
ppt computer.

Help, Please!

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

It sounds like your Windows ME has an outdated version of the Windows
Installer (msi.dll) which the PowerPoint Viewer needs in order to be
installed.

Make sure you have all the latest updates for Windows ME (from the
windowsupdate web site) and then try again.
