Did I miss something? My version of Office Mac 2004 did not have a
ValuePack. It was the Standard Edition, but still...

What am I missing?

There is no value pack for 2004. On Office v.X, there was a value pack. It
contained things such as the remove office, utilities, Windows Media Player
for Mac, etc.

So I guess we just copy all the clipart from Office v.X over to Office
2004...

All of the assistants seem to work.

Thanks. I'm relieved.

The installer installs the clipart in your Microsoft Office 2004 folder.
There seems to be about 8.2 megs of clipart in there. I have no idea how
that compares to the v.X Value Pack's clipart - I have never used any
clipart that came with Office.

It was my understanding that the full clip art catalog would not be part of
Office 2004, but that it would be available for download at mactopia.com.
However, I can't find it there so maybe I'm misremembering :). Anyone else
remember what the details are?

That's correct. Anyone who had Office X and didn't Remove Office can just
copy the Clip Art folder (or any of its contents) over from Microsoft Office
X to Microsoft Office 2004. If they did Remove Office X, they might still be
able to copy it off the Office v. X CD's Value Pack to their hard drive's
Microsoft Office 2004, or they might have to reinstall X first, I'm not
sure. Same with assistants.

Yes, 8.2 MB is about right, but that's just a fraction of what's installed
into v.X when you run the ValuePack installer. In any case, I just copied
all of the Clipart and other relevant materials from v.X to 2004.

That's what I did before dumping v.X. Everything seems to be just fine.
