I have a MDD G4 and a Powerbook G4.
The desktop has two drives, one a duplicate of the other. I also have
two Firewire drives, one with a Retrospect backup of my main drive and
one with a duplicate. My Powerbook is backed up to a similar
configuration on a Firewire drive.
I am currently running Office X, one copy on the desktop and one on the
laptop. My current arrangement has worked perfectly when I have to
revert to a backup for some reason. I understand that this arrangement
is OK within my licensing agreement ... if I'm wrong, please correct
me.
I have had version 2004 for some time and never installed it because I
wasn't sure it would take to my particular backup system gracefully. I
would like to upgrade Office to 2004. Can I do this without tumbling
into some registration abyss each time I have to revert to one of my
backups?
If so, are there any pitfalls to avoid?
TIA
