2007 and 2000 on one PC

I am considering purchasing 2007 Office Enterprise Home Use and
my question relates to having both 2000 and 2007 on the same PC (with XP)
what problems could I expect to experience or should all be OK?
Many thanks

Why would you want to have both? Office 2007 can both open and save-as prior
file types...

This will for home and the wife has only just got the hang of 2000.
I want 2007 so I can get ahead of collegues before we upgrade at work.
I want the wife still to be able to do what she wants without having to call
me too many times when I am at work because she cannot do what she wants (she
calls me enough times already!). We plan to learn together on the new system
when both at home but until we get upto speed I wish for her to be able to
continue as at present.
I have heard of the clash with Outlook versions but as we currently don't
use Outlook at home, we should not have this problem.
Do you know of any issues to be aware of?
Thanks
DeanH

You would need to insure Office2k is updated first
Ammend Office2k shortcuts, eg Word > Word2k
Install 2007, dont select upgrade.
Only a single instance of Outlook can be installed

It should be fine. There are minor annoyances, most of which you may never
encounter. BUT there will be one major annoyance and that is the delay the
Windows Installer causes when switching between versions. Thankfully there
is a Registry fix for this. You can find the details here:

Also, since you are transitioning to Office 2007 you may find the link to
the guides for Office 2007 in my signature helpful.
