2007 checkin pending

While I know about the local cache problems, we have one plan that no matter
who opens it, or how, always has a checkin pending status in local cache. The
server side shows it's not checked out. So anyone who ever links to this
plan, has to remove it from cache every time they open project pro. Does
anyone know of a fix? We have SP1 but not the infrastructure upgrade yet.
Will that fix it? Or, is the plan corrupted?

Kerry:

This could be related to a queue job stuck in the "getting enqueued state."
Go to your queue management page and expand the Advanced Options section and
make sure that the checkbox for "Cancel jobs getting enqueued" is selected
and then look at the Job Grid to see if there is a job for the project stuck
in this state. If so, cancel it.

Thanks for your suggestion, but the queue is clean. Although, it did have to
be restarted a while back due to problems. I'm stumped.

Have you had the PM navigate on their computer to C:\Documents and
Settings\PM Name\Application Data\Microsoft\MS Project\Cache\GUID Folder and
delete the MPC File for that project? This might help.

Despite have applied the various CUs and patches incl the Dec'08 one, we are
still getting lots of checkin-pending issues, meaning a regular (and careful)
cache clean-up.
