2007 Compatible Mode Defaults

I have a fresh install of Office 2007 and all of my default blank document
templetes (all products) are opening in Compatible Mode. Any thoughts on
what is going on? I cannot find a setting anywhere to elimiate this. I have
verified that the correct files are in the Templates folder as well.
