2007 inactive resources

I have an inactive resource, that is showing up in one plan as having work
remaining in other projects and commitments. The PM gets the usual error
message: This plan has inactive enterprise resources with remaining work, and
displays this inactive resource. If I go to the plan where the remaining work
supposed exists, it shows all task as 100% complete with no remaining hours.
If I go to the PWA to view assignments, it shows no remaining hours in any
plans. Any ideas on how to correct the problem? I'm at the Febraury
cumulative patch level.

Hi Kerry,

the problem here is that, if you look at the Remaining Work on "Other
Project and committments", it's always equal to the Work. So, if the resource
is inactive you get that message when you open the project (even if on the
project you open there is no remaining work for that resource).
We had the same issue with a customer and raised an incident with MS, I
think it was not changed in SP2 or April CU (haven't checked yet but there
was nothing about that on KB articles). You should wait and check next
package (June CU).
The only way to avoid that is to clear the check on "Load summary resource
assignments", when you launch Project Pro.
