2007 Installation Problem

Trying to setup a fresh installation with 2007 project. I setup Windows
server 2003 with SP1, install all updates and asp.net 2.0. Install IIS and
enable asp.net. Install windows workflow foundation beta 2. Then I attempt to
install Project 2007 beta server and as soon as the setup starts I recieve
the error that asp.net is not installed in IIS? what is missing, i have
confirmed it is there by checking both add/remove programs/windows
programs/IIS settings and opening IIS and ensuring that asp.net is set to
allow.

Please help

I had to reinstall ASP.NET 2.0, the one from windows update is not updating
IIS. Another problem I have is Project 2007 won't work, period. Once
installed and go into administrion website, I try to extend a project website
and it just goes to a page that does not exist. I found some walk throughs
and there are some services not installed that the walk throughs say to turn
on. Also under the services in administration website I cannot change it from
sharepoint to project or custom or anything else. During setup should it
prompt for a user to use for services? I get no prompts for anything it just
runs setup straight through and the configuration straight through
