2007 Lost Favroites on Folder Pane

[V-ger]

I have beta and suddenly I no longer have my favorites folder atop my folder
navigation pane. I see that on Aug 2, 2006, a user, Carianne, also had the
same issue but see no resolution to it. Here's what I have tried that does
NOT work:
1) View Menu > Nav pane > no option for Favorites is there, just like
Carianne mentioned on 8/2/06.
2) Customize: I removed the Nav pane selection from the view menu and then
put it back, hoping that would refresh or reinstall it. No luck. Still not
there.
3) Ran a diagnostic (which took forever) and still no option to turn the
favorites section of the nav pane back on.
4) I went to Customize and this time did a current view RESET. Still nothing.
I have run out of ideas. Before I do a complete reinstall (and still have
no favorites folders option at the top of my nav pane)...can anyone help with
a solution to this conundrum? Still scratching my head. Thank you for your
help.

that you are a real ace with Outlook - do you think you can help me figure
this one out?

The user you are referring to in your original post was not in the Mail
view. Rather, she was in the Folder lists view which looks almost
identical to the Mail view except it doesn't have the Favorite Folders
and the option to switch it on is not in the View menu.
Therefore, let me ask again. Did you hit Go, Mail as Roady suggested?

"Mail" (as opposed to contacts, etc. in the main screen), the taskpane view
still needed changed. So even though I was already in the Mail screen, the
Go > Mail got me to a different view - not in the main screen but just in the
taskpane. Worked beautifully, of course. Head scratching over. I even
remember using the "folder view" for the first time last week, but didn't
notice that it removed my one favorite folder at the top.

Once again, you guys/gals are just perfect. Don't know how you deal with
all of our questions day to day, but REALLY appreciate knowing I can find a
helping hand before I rip all the hair out. Wow. Thanks for all of your

You are welcome.
I should add that Folder View has one more difference. It shows all your
folders in the Folder list, not just the email folders (or only
contacts, etc depending which view you are in).

I should add that Folder View has one more difference. It shows all your
