2007 Microsoft Office System

My OS: WinXP Pro Sp3.

I just replaced MS Office 2003 with Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007
including SP1 and all other available updates.
The 'Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office system SP1' and all security
updates are also installed to my operating system.

In Administration Account I was able to convert all Office 2003 Excel
workbooks very easily to the new 2007 Office suite format and the workbooks
open and function without any problems.

My day-to-day work is conducted in Least-privileged User Account (LUA).
When transferring (copy/paste or cut/paste) the converted Excel workbooks
from the Admin A/C to LUA they will not open immediately but go through the
entire Configuration process (Configuring Microsoft Enterprise 2007...).
Then a window pops-up indicating a yellow triangle (!) warning sign and
"stdole32.tlb", after clicking 'OK' the Installation Process begins.

After completion of the above mentioned processes the Excel workbook will
display and function properly. However the Configuration/Installation
process is for some reasons not saved (remembered) by the program because
when re-opening the Excel workbook the configuration/Installation process
starts afresh.

I don't have this problem in the Admin A/C.

Please advise an appropriate fix, thanks in advance.

All issues arising from the Office 2007 Enterprise version should be addressed to the IT person or Department of the Company or Educational institution from where you purchased this edition of Office . They are the ones that hold the Volume License for the Office Enterprise Edition and are able to help you

When r-clicking a Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet, there is no 'Run as...'
function available/displayed :(
Any other ideas? I didn't have any issues with MS Office 2003.

There wouldn't be. Right-click on the Excel PROGRAM icon, not a workbook
icon.

This is not possible where I reside. In any case, I don't think there is an
issue per se with Office 2007 as it is perfectly functioning in Admin A/C
but not working satisfactory in LUA. Therefore, I assume that there maybe a
glitch somewhere else. It maybe an issue related to the installation process
but, if possible, would like to have a techie to advise accordingly.

Yes, of course - sorry!
Okay, when in LUA right-clicking EXCE.EXE and clicking 'Run as...' an
administrator opens the Excel Worksheet without any problems. But this
really negates the philosophy for running the LUA in the first place.

Thats the way Office 2007 tends to operate, I assume 2007 requires admin
rights to function correctly.

Thanks DL!
This doesn't sound right to me, I am going to uninstall/reinstall. If no
improvement I go back to Office 2003 :)

Nope - runs perfectly well here in a Standard User account...

I dont believe the fact that a particular Program requires admin rights to
operate correctly, negates any advantages in useing a LUA account to loggin
to Win.
There are many programs, that because of their nature require admin rights
to run

But not office 2007 - works perfectly here on a Standard user
Account.....(Vista Home Premium)
