2007 Office Suite Professional Upgrade Problems

For the past several weeks I have been experiencing major problems with my
laptop. I finally decided to reinstall Windows Vista. After that, I was
unable to load my old programs, including Microsoft Office 2007 upgrade.
When trying to reinstall, I receive this error message: "Setup can't find a
version of Microsoft Office on your computer."

I have been able to locate some of my existing programs but MS Office is
most important. I have tried to point the installer to several folders that
contain MS Office, but no luck.

Can someone PLEASE help me?!

Office 2007 Update needs a previous version of Office that was installed. Which
version of Office was installed when you installed the Office 2007 Upgrade when the
laptop was still working
