The Windows Vista Update gizmo keeps telling me there are Office 2007
updates. I tell it to install them. It churns. It fails. It gives me an
error (57E) and tells me to "look it up on the web" (fab user-support there,
by the way) only...there's no such help.
Before anyone suggests "disable your 3rd party firewall, anti-spam, virus
checker, etc." ....don't. I've done all that. Other Windows Vista updates
install, but the Office 2007 updates don't.
I'm 100% sure the problem is related to Vista's, "Ok, you're logged on as an
Administrator, but I'm now going to stop all activity and ask you if you are
an administrator anyway," foolishness. How do I get Vista to "grow up"
enough to let me do the work that I need to do?
How do I get these Office 2007 Updates under Vista to actually update?
