The only new feature in Office 2007 that I liked was the ability to
set the default for pasting text. I have Contacts, Email editor and
Word all set the same: Word Options > Advanced > copy, cut paste:
“Keep text only” for everything except pasting within same document.
Initially it worked everywhere (e.g. pasting from IE to Word or
Contacts Note or pasting from Outlook Word editor to Contacts Note
field. There was always a bug; sometimes it was incredibility slowly.
No longer; MS seems to have fixed the slowest by killing the feature
with an automatic Office update. All pasting now includes formatting
(font, size bold, tables, etc.). I’m back to Paste> Paste Special >
unformatted text. I would kill for a single key shortcut to paste
plain text. Does anyone know how to get this feature working again?
