Hi,
I'm using Office Pro 2002 and I just ran the 2007 backward compatibility
program and I still can't open
up Excel, am I missing something?

I'm not to sure what you mean but I've tried that and it's coming up in an
unreadable format.

Tried what?

Let's try this from the beginning. You are running Office XP and have
installed the 2007 compatibility pack. You say you can't open Excel. Do you
mean you can't open the program or that you can't open an Excel 2007 file?

Sorry for the unclearity, I can't open a spreadsheet created in 2007, the
program works fine and I can open existing spreadsheets that where created
with Excel 2002 but nothing from 2007.
Thanks for the help, Craig

It sounds as though you didn't install the compatibility pack. What happens
when you try to open an .xlsx file?

No, I installed it I can see it in the add/remove program, it opens up and
