2007 Project not getting updates

Donna

Hi -
I have a project that stopped accepting updates?

We get the emails for updates from My Tasks.
We approve the updates - tried both in PWA & via MPP
But the updates do not appear in the project ? If I look in PWA approvals
Applied Task Updates requests -- I see the test task I added to the schedule
- it shows that I approved - but these aren't published. I still don't quite
understand though - why the change that is approved doesn't reflect within
the project when I open it from the server?

I restored the project from last Friday - Oct 31 - starting working - but
then overnight it all stopped again.

I can put time in the MPP file itself - and when it publishes - it will send
the time to My Tasks -- so things seem to be working in that direction.
I have tried to save the file locally and reimport via the Wizard - that has
fixed issues with project corruption for us in the past -- but nothing this
time.

I am hesistant to do the xml export - as then I lose the hours reported on
the project.

Is there anything else that I can do to get this unstuck??

Hi Donna,

I am similar issues like you. I have resources tasksheets and reports from
the Reporting database matching actual work hours, but the project file does
not seem to reflect it. It appears that the mismatch or recalculation of
actual work is happening around a holiday, July 4, where it will split the
actual work hours to the following Monday or in case of some resources it
will pull forward and addhours from the following Monday to the July 4th
holiday.

Does anyone have suggestions for these list of symptoms?

Thanks
John

I had a PM experience this and when I attempted to create a task and update
it from my computer the updating process worked just fine. So, we deleted the
entire cache folder on his machione and the problem was solved.

Hi Darrell

We deleted local cache in MPP as well as running %appdata% and deleting any
items in the MS Project Cache folder as well.

Still stuck....
