2007 Reoccuring Task sent to Distribution List

Using Outlook 2007. I sent a reoccurring task to an email distribution list
(50+ people) and have lost ownership. Is there a way to delete the "series"
and start over? I need a task reminder sent quarterly to an email
distribution list, but may need to make changes to the task from time to time.

Unlike calendar items, you can't cancel tasks and remove them from the
recipients tasks list automatically. Whether or not calendar items would be
better for you really depends on the circumstances - yes, it allows you to
cancel but if the task is not appropriate for a timed appointment, its
better to leave it as a task and use shorter recurring periods.

Are you saying if you send a Task to another person(s) that you
automatically
loose ownership? Maybe a calendar reminder would have been the way to go?

If you don't own it, you can't delete it. Ask the recipients to delete it
from their task list.
